Patient Feedback, Complaints & Comments

These are some of the comments we have received from patients in the last few weeks:

  • Patient said UCT service was brilliant - I had a call back within 20 minutes of phoning and follow up the next day.  I know everybody moans about the NHS but I can't fault it.
  • Patient said that we are a wonderful practice.
  • Patient said how grateful she was to the surgery for all the help she was given.  She has received excellent service and is very happy.
  • Patient wanted to say thank you to Dr Abouelsaad for referring her so quickly.  Everything was sorted quickly and he helped her enormously.

Let the practice know your views.

We may not always get it right all the time, so we appreciate feedback both good and not so good.  This allows us to give positive feedback to staff where appropriate and to look at areas that we need to improve.

You can give us feedback by talking to any member of staff, completing the 'Comments Form' section on our Complaints & Comments practice leaflet below, speaking or writing to the practice manager or by leaving a review on the NHS choices website.

Feedback from Student Nurse

Harriet Toogood had a placement for 6 weeks at Litchdon and gave the following feedback:-

I have thoroughly enjoyed my student nurse placement at Litchdon Medical Centre.  I felt welcomed by all members of staff as soon as I entered the building!  The nurses have provided me with a comprehensive and supportive learning environment where I have been able to apply theoretical knowledge to real-life clinical situations.  This has taken place through spending time within the Treatment Room and observing and assisting with the Long-term condition and Urgent Care nurses.

I have had the opportunity to rotate through various departments, such as GP consultations, the Mental Health Nurses, the Wellbeing Team and Dermatology, this has allowed me to gain diverse experiences in patient care.

I have felt comfortable asking questions, practicing new skills and relecting on experiences.  The enviornment has enhanced my clinical competencies but also built up my confidence, which will help prepare me to transition smoothly into a registered nursing role.

I would like to mention how wonderful Nurse Chloe has been as my Assessor and to Nurse Manager Glenys for being so organised and sending me my 6 week rota in advance.
